Whether you’re hosting or attending a party, it’s always fun to bring a little extra sparkle to the occasion. That’s why I’m so excited to share my ornament sangria with you—a festive (and delicious!) twist on holiday drinks that will wow your guests.
Imagine this: charming clear ornaments filled with your favorite sangria, each one a little masterpiece of flavor and fun. It’s the perfect way to serve drinks with a side of holiday cheer! These sangrias are as beautiful as they are delicious, and they double as conversation starters at any gathering.
how to make the sangria
Creating these festive drinks is easier than you’d think! Here’s everything you need:
1 bottle of Cupcake Pinot Noir
⅓ cup of Triple Sec
½ cup of fresh squeezed orange juice (I got store-bought juice)
½ cup of Trader Joe's Winter Wassail Punch
3 tbsp of brown sugar
1 orange, sliced
1 pear, sliced (I used a Anjou pear)
1 apple, sliced (I used a sugar bee apple)
½ cup Villa Italia Grapefruit Italian Soda
Cranberries
Rosemary sprigs and cinnamon stick for garnish
Instructions:
In a large pitcher, combine orange, pear, and apple slices with brown sugar and triple sec. Muddle the fruit at the bottom to release their flavors.
Pour in the wine, orange juice, and winter punch, then stir well to combine. Let the mixture sit overnight to enhance the flavors.
Before serving, add ½ cup of Grapefruit Italian Soda to the pitcher and stir gently.
Use a funnel to pour the sangria into clear ornaments, reserving the soaked fruit for garnish.
In each glass, add the soaked fruit, fresh cranberries, and a sprig of rosemary for a festive touch. Serve and enjoy!
I hope this ornament sangria adds a little extra sparkle to your holiday season! If you give these a try, I’d love to see your creations! let me know or tag me on Instagram @lwdecor.
